College tour comes to an end....

by Colin Cummins

The Giants college tour comes to an end.

The 2018 Fall Ball season is almost over for the 18u Giants. Our 18u combined with some 15u Giants took on Scotland Prep and Carnegie Mellon University,  this past weekend.

On Saturday,  We travelled to Scotland, PA to play a doubleheader vs Scotland Prep. Scotland Prep is a great step for those players, who are looking to play US College baseball but need some extra credits or some extra time to mature.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature rained for 5 days straight prior to our games. We had to cancel!!

AD Brian McGinn (pictured below) gave the team a great tour of the grounds and facility. More pictures provided in our photo gallery.

On Sunday,  the team travelled to Sewickley, Pa,  a suburb of Pittsburgh to play Carnegie Mellon University.

It was a pleasure to play a much older and experience team,  headed by Head Coach Claudio Reilsono. Lots of lessons learned on Sunday.

Ron Verana of the National Scouting Report (NSR) was also on hand to give our guys 5 mins of his time.

In the end, I would like to thank Brian and Claudio for the hospitality and opportunity,  to be part, of their fall schedule.

Great Time!! Great Experience!! Some Eyes Opened!!  Some Goals to be Set!!! #OGon3 #OGbaseball
